What is Hatha Yoga
In the west hatha yoga is mainly used as a therapeutic tool to maintain good health or help to restore. Hathayoga is the science of purification and combines techniques such as postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama) and meditation. Purification starts with the body by cleansing techniques (shatkarmas) followed by postures (asanas), breathing and meditation techniques.
The aim is the create harmony in the personality and balance all activities
and processes of physical body, mind and energy to bring about union of
the vital energy and the mental force. This brings about better physical
health, psychological vitality and greater spiritual awareness. This evolution
of human consciousness is the main objective of hatha yoga.
There are many different forms of yoga. At this Centre we teach different
styles of Hatha yoga called:

and kriya yoga
